COLOM: THE ‘CONCEPT STORE’ THAT REDEFINES PALMA

Style has transcended the runways to take over cities. Today, “to go shopping” is a synonym for “to live an experience.” We no longer seek only objects, but moments of inspiration. This is the essence of the concept store: a hybrid space where avant-garde fashion, design, and gastronomy come together. It is a cultural meeting point. Starting this October, this philosophy that redefines retail arrives with force in Palma. Its name is Colom.

A New Space of Elegance and Inspiration Arrives in Palma

Located at number 9 on the street with the same name, Colom is not just another opening: it is the materialization of an idea. It is proof that Palma has reached that point of cosmopolitan maturity where a project of this magnitude is not only possible, but necessary. It is a space that invites unhurried discovery, exploration of the confluence of disciplines, and the understanding that good taste is, in essence, a form of culture.

‘La Principal’ in Palma and the savoir-faire of the Fuster Family: The Union of Two Legacies

To understand the magnitude of Colom, it is essential to look at its origins. The project was born from a unique alliance, a confluence of two legacies that share the same devotion to excellence. On one hand, the vision of Ramos, co-founder of La Principal, is a benchmark for avant-garde fashion in Mallorca. On the other hand, the savoir-faire and history of the Fuster family, at the helm of Relojería Alemana. This union is a dialogue between the audacity of trends and the weight of tradition. As our CEO, Pablo Fuster, said: "In these 146 years of history, what continues to define us is the ability to maintain tradition and evolve at the same time." Colom represents precisely that: a new way of understanding retail, yet anchored in the values of quality and trust that have always accompanied us.

More Than a Store: A Universe of Fashion, Design, and Local Essence

What makes Colom a concept store in the truest sense is its hybrid nature. In its more than 750 square meters, the boundaries between disciplines fade to create an immersive narrative. Upon crossing its doors, one does not enter a store, but rather a carefully orchestrated universe.

Fashion With an Intentional Approach and Mallorcan Roots at Colom Palma

Fashion is one of its pillars. Colom brings together a curated selection of national and international brands, focusing on 'Made in Spain' projects such as Cordera, and established European brands like the German A Kind of Guise, the Scandinavian By Malene Birger, or the French Officine Générale.
In the accessories realm, standout proposals include Hereu, a brand founded by a Mallorcan and known for its reinterpretation of traditional Mediterranean footwear.
Within this selection, MEWS, Colom's own brand, shines brightly. Founded by La Principal Shop and based in Mallorca, MEWS embodies the contemporary spirit of the island. It highlights local craftsmanship, especially through its leather garments. These pieces are crafted in Mallorca by some of the few artisans who still keep a skill alive that is part of the island's long history of leatherworking.

Design and Architecture With Local Talent

Every corner of Colom Palma reflects a commitment to quality and aesthetic coherence. The architectural project, led by Suso Ramos and architect Carlos de Prada, has relied heavily on local suppliers and professionals. Noteworthy collaborations include renowned Mallorcan studios such as Contain, specializing in contemporary lighting, and RESMES studio, responsible for designing the café's steel furniture.

Rosevelvet Bakery Palma, the Gastronomic Meeting Point That Completes the Experience

To complete the experience, there is also the gastronomic element. Colom incorporates a café from Roosevelt Bakery, a renowned Mallorcan brand with its own bakery that shares the same philosophy of local produce and quality craftsmanship. This is the touch that transforms the visit and consolidates Colom as a true meeting point in the city

Setting the Cultural Agenda: Palma as a Benchmark for Style and Design

The arrival of Colom is also a reflection of Palma's own evolution. Our city has established itself as an international destination that attracts visitors seeking culture, art, design, and authentic experiences. Projects like this raise the bar and position Palma among the top commercial cities.
At Relojería Alemana, we proudly celebrate the opening of Colom. It is a project that enriches our city, shares our vision for the future, and demonstrates that when legacy and innovation go hand-in-hand, the result is always extraordinary.
