WATCHES & WONDERS 24: NEW PIECES BY PATEK PHILIPPE

Patek Philippe introduces their latest pieces at Watches & Wonders 24

Watches and Wonders is the event that sets the trends for the future, as well as the perfect opportunity to revisit the most timeless classics of haute horlogerie. Naturally, one of the main characters was Patek Philippe, bringing new timepieces that shone for their impeccable style, as well as for their innovative technology. The Relojeria Alemana team travelled to Geneva to see them first hand, so continue reading to discover the models introduced by this Swiss watchmaker.

Patek Philippe combines technique and style in eleven new unreleased creations

The varied range of timepiece collections by Patek Philippe includes subtle aesthetic reinterpretations of the travel-watch concept, pieces with calendars and “sport chic” models. Besides these new creations, the Swiss watchmaker has announced two developments regarding the Patek Philippe Seal certification, as well as an extension on international warranties from two to five years, in the case of new watches.

World Time, the most exciting development of the year

On the occasion of Watches and Wonders 2024, Patek Philippe brought forward its most technical innovations, introducing into its permanent collection the first World Time watch with a date that is synchronised to local time; a feature made possible by the new HU C calibre. It stands out not only for its technology, but also for its elegant and refined style, with a blue-grey opaline dial with two subdivisions identified by their silver or grey background; a true work of art. Then, its hand-stitched calfskin straps, also in blue-grey, add the perfect final touch.

The latest pieces from the Complications and Grand Complications collections

Among the models presented, the Grand Complications collection stood out with pieces in neutral colours, including the self-winding Alarm Travel, reference 5520RG-001, a piece with a rose gold case with white gold details, resulting in a stunning two-tone finish. Also worthy of mention is the Retrograde Perpetual Calendar Rare Handcrafts reference 5160/500R-001, a timepiece in a new rose gold version with a silvered opaline dial. Lastly, another beautiful watch presented on this occasion was the vintage-inspired platinum Perpetual Calendar 5236P-010.
Within the Complications line, Patek Philippe has reinterpreted its annual calendar, creating a white gold version with a self-winding movement, reference 5396G-017: its sunburst blue dial and baguette diamonds on the hour-markers make this timepiece a real work of art.

Golden Ellipse and Twenty-4 redefine the most sophisticated style

When it comes to elegance, the Swiss manufacture stands out with the return of “Chaîne” bracelets within the Golden Ellipse line. The piece, reference 5738/1R-001 in rose gold with a black dial revisits an aesthetic from the 70s, with the added advantage of a metal bracelet comprised of thin chains that combine both functionality and a discreet, delicate style.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Twenty-4 collection for women, the Swiss watchmaker is launching a redesign of this timeless piece, reference 4910/1201R-010, with a refined dial that creates a subtle play on light using the dial’s various layers of violet lacquer. In addition, its pink gold case —set with two rows of diamonds— truly makes this watch a unique timepiece.

Modern elegance with Aquanaut and Nautilus

Last, but not least, Patek Philippe introduced at Watches and Wonders 2024 the new models for the Aquanaut and Nautilus collections, including pieces such as the automatic self-winding flyback chronograph in white gold, reference 5980/60G-001.

The models in the Aquanaut collection continue in their characteristic travel watch style with rubber straps, a contemporary aesthetic that is elegant yet casual. This makes them the perfect choice for those looking for a piece that combines impeccable style with a touch of modernity. Models such as the Travel Time or Luce truly embody this “sport chic” look.
