The spirit of the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, a personal friend of Louis Cartier, lives on in the watch collection that bears his name, which Cartier himself
introduced in 1904 with an exclusive design that allowed the pilot to check the time while flying.
The Santos-Dumont is a contemporary watch with an unmistakable feature: a square bezel riveted with eight visible screws. For 2020, Cartier has created a limited edition
Santos-Dumont in size XL with three new models in rose gold, steel and in a combination of both metals that incorporate a manual winding 430MC calibre from the Cartier manufacture.
On a larger scale, the Santos-Dumont maintains its elegance without any unnecessary embellishments. It gains amplitude and magnificence in the dial without losing an ounce of
sophistication and delicacy in its case, at the bottom of which you can read the initials S=D, the signature of the famous aviator.
